SP Welcomes new partner, Udoka Frank Amah

We are delighted to inform you that Sterling Partnership has welcomed Udoka Frank Amah as a Partner heading our anti-corruption and competition law practice. With over twenty (20) years’ experience in private practice and in-house as lead counsel in renowned international oil companies he brings considerable and peculiar wealth of experience in compliance governance, cross-border transactions, complex litigation management and client advisory.

As in-house counsel at Shell, he helped the organization successfully conclude and exit the 5 year Deferred Prosecution Agreement entered into with the U.S. Department of Justice over the FCPA violation. In addition to FCPA, he has experience advising and defending clients in related international laws including the UK Bribery Act, 2010, UN Convention Against Bribery and the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention. Udoka develops and helps clients implement effective global compliance programs to improve risk management and reduce violations while simultaneously building infrastructure to monitor and detect anti-corruption and antitrust compliance failures.

He counsels clients through all phases of compliance programs, including:

  • Anti-Bribery/Antitrust and competition policy development
  • Program design and implementation
  • Monitoring and detection
  • Employee training and education
  • Program evaluation and modification
